19 – A Stormy Telling-Off

Once they had reached the ground, Feilong was welcomed by his grandma and his mother.

«Long Feng!» called his uncle.

Feilong’s father appeared.
«Have you lost your mind, risking your life like that?» his uncle scolded.
«You knew we were waiting for you, and you knew we know you’re not a water dragon. Hailong already told us that Feilong isn’t one either. Of course we’ve been watching the skies all along to help you land safely.»

Feilong’s uncle was clearly very cross with his father.

«You’re right. It was reckless of me,» said his father, looking ashamed.

His uncle shook his head.

«Greetings, and thank you for your invitation, Long Shui,» replied the father, adding,
«I should mention that your son was one of my rescuers.»

«Yes, I saw that. My mother, my sister and my son caught you. But now I must have a serious word with my own son. He’s the one who sent a powerful jet of water straight at your son earlier.»

Feilong’s ears perked up.
«What’s going on?» he wondered.
«That jet of water came from my cousin?»
